Growing up as the 4th generation of a brewing family, David decided to make the switch to the wonderful world of chocolate when he was in his late twenties. A well-considered choice after the family business was sold. Besides a passion for food, travel & expeditions, internships in Paris, Barcelona and various courses form the basis of what would become Chocolatier M, founded in 2005. David created his own unique style by extensively testing and striving for perfection.
David’s creations were picked up early on and he was named Ambassador for Belgian Chocolate by Barry-Callebaut, the largest chocolate producer in the world. Quite an honour!
As an Ambassador, David is part of a worldwide network of top professionals in their field. With the aim of promoting Belgian chocolate, support in product development and sharing knowledge.
